CogiTrain ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by Marty The Creative. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the CogiTrain mobile application ("App").

1. Information We Collect

We collect the minimum data necessary to provide the App's features:

• Anonymous user identifier: When you launch the App, we assign you an anonymous ID via Firebase Authentication. No name, email, or personal information is required or collected.
• Training session data: Results from cognitive training sessions (accuracy scores, reaction times, difficulty levels, session duration) are stored locally on your device and optionally synced to our secure cloud database.
• App settings: Your preferences (session lengths, difficulty resets, age input for cognitive age estimates) are stored locally on your device.
• Purchase information: If you subscribe to CogiTrain Pro, purchase transactions are processed by Google Play. We receive confirmation of your subscription status via RevenueCat. We do not collect or store your payment card details.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, or any contact information.
• We do not collect location data.
• We do not collect device identifiers beyond the anonymous Firebase UID.
• We do not use advertising SDKs or sell your data to third parties.
• We do not track you across other apps or websites.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To display your training history, statistics, and progress within the App.
• To calculate performance metrics such as cognitive age estimates and benchmark rankings.
• To verify your subscription status and unlock Pro features.
• To back up your training data so it can be restored if you reinstall the App.

4. Data Storage and Security

Training session data is stored primarily on your device using local storage. If you are signed in anonymously, data is also synced to Google Firebase Firestore (hosted in the United States) as a backup. We apply Firebase's default security rules so that each user can only access their own data.

We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, but no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

5. Third-Party Services

CogiTrain uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Google Firebase (authentication and database) — firebase.google.com/support/privacy
• RevenueCat (subscription management) — revenuecat.com/privacy
• Google Play (payment processing) — policies.google.com/privacy

6. Children's Privacy

CogiTrain is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Your training data is retained as long as you use the App. You can delete all local session data at any time from the Settings screen ("Clear All Session Data"). To request deletion of any cloud-synced data associated with your anonymous account, contact us at the email below.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete it. Since we collect minimal data and tie it only to an anonymous identifier, most data requests can be fulfilled by using the in-app data deletion option. For additional requests, contact us directly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
